Soooo…..I’m not gonna lie. I have no idea what to post about today, but am trying my hardest to stick to my resolution of doing one post every week. Technically, it has been over a week since my last, but I’m just aiming for one every work week, regardless of what day of the week. So, here you go! TA-DAAA!!
I don’t really have any exciting updates on my writing, other than I’m still doing it! That is a huge accomplishment for me! I’m not as excited about the direction of my book as I was when I started, but I am listening to the advice of brilliant minds and I am just going to keep writing! I can always change things after it’s finished. The goal is to just FINISH IT!
Other life updates…..
I’ve watched a few new movies lately. I saw The Revenant, which was a great movie. I swear I was freezing the entire movie, but that might’ve just been as a result of excellent cinematography. Acting was great, storyline was great and scenery was amazing. I’m not completely thrilled with the ending, but that’s just because I’m picky about endings. I also saw The Martian finally. Excellent film. Matt Damon was wonderful. FYI…I liked the ending. Then, I saw Everest, which I also liked very much. However, it reaffirmed to me that I will NEVER, EVER go climb any mountain, of any type, ever, ever, ever. I am petrified of steep stuff and this movie is just smothered in steep stuff. It was sad though. Last movie I saw this week…..and it’s an older one….Dazed and Confused. It was a recommendation and I really liked it. I’m not really sure why I haven’t watched it before, but better late than never I guess.
I’m failing a little on my resolution of five books a month. I’m just about done with number two. I guess I can still do it if I really try…..but I’m not too optimistic.
I guess the only other thing I have coming up is a Jeep trip that I’m really anxious for. It’s called Jeepin’ with Judd and it’s a blast. It’s just a 3 day event put on by the Sheriff of Polk County, Florida.
Here is a picture from last year’s event. Our Jeep is second from the right. This was just one tiny group on a trail ride. There are a ton of more Jeeps that go to these events, but the trail rides are broken into small groups.
Here’s another picture. This is the hubby flexing on a ramp.
The Jeep has undergone some modifications in the last year, so I will post some updated photos after this year’s event.
Anyway….sorry for this “filler” post, but I met my weekly “requirement,” so I’m happy. As always, I appreciate you guys.
Anyone else have any fun stuff going on?
5 books a month is a lot. Well done on your writing.

I have aimed at and hit 4 with books but it is up and down. Make it up next month 😉 on writing, I am the same. Just keep plugging. You’ll chop a lot of it later but the parts you keep make it worth it.

I want to read more too, it’s hard to find the time, I sometimes wish I could just pause time and read before starting it up again. If you liked “Everest” you should try reading “Into the Silence” it’s a look at the earliest serious attempts at the summit. I love climbing but have no desire to climb into the death zone, hypoxia scares me.

Agreed!!! I wish there were more hours in the day too! And thanks for the suggestion! I’ll definitely put that on the list of stuff to read!
